If you want to score good marks in the QA section, all you need is speed and proper time management. Try to solve maximum number of quantitative aptitude questions without wasting much time and it will definitely help you to improve your total score. There are mainly 3 phases for IBPS clerical exam namely Preliminary exam, Main exam and Personal interview. Even Though IBPS clerk QA exam covers this much topics, you may not get questions from all these topics. There will be fixed number of questions from each topics. Therefore, it is better to have a thorough understanding of QA section before stating the IBPS preparation. Here are a few important things to keep in mind before attending the final exam: Number of QA questions: The quantitative aptitude section of IBPS clerical preliminary exam consist of a total number of 35 questions and the quantitative aptitude section of main exam consist of 40 questions. Mark distribution: Each IBPS QA question carries one mark and there will be negative marking for every wrong answer. That means .25 marks will be deducted for every wrong marking. Therefore, practicing more and more QA questions will make you capable enough to tackle these questions.
MCQ’s: All the questions in quantitative aptitude section will be MCQ’s. Each question will have 5 multiple choice answers and the candidate can mark the correct answer from the given options. IBPS QA syllabus: Usually, this section will concentrate on questions related to Arithmetic and Data Interpretation subjects. Arithmetic section is related to roots, average, ratio, volume & surface area, time & work, simple & compound interest, time & separation, permutation & combination, probability etc. But the Data interpretation section deals with visual diagrams, pie charts, line charts, classification etc. Since the Data Interpretation section is the most important part in Quantitative Aptitude part of IBPS clerical exam, you should have thorough knowledge on Tabulation, Pie chart, Line chart and graphs. IBPS QA topics: The QA questions in IBPS clerk exam includes questions from sections like Number System, HCF, LCM, Profit and Loss, Square roots, Compound, Decimal Fractions, cube roots, proportion, Time & distance, Simplification, Surd and indices, Area, Problem on trains, Ratio and Proportions Unitary Method, Probability, Mensuration, Races, Algebra, Average, (2d and 3d)Geometry, Data Interpretation, Banker’s Discount, Pipe & Cistern, Boat and Stream, Percentage, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Work.
